Celtic turn to Arsenal midfielder Chris Willock

Celtic are eyeing Arsenal midfielder Chris Willock.

The Sun says Willock is on Celtic's radar as they seek to replace Manchester City loan star Patrick Roberts next season.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to want another Premier League whizkid this summer.

And Willock, 19, who has played two EFL Cup matches this term, has a similar background to fellow English wideman Roberts.

Former Liverpool manager Rodgers believes he can persuade Premier League giants that regular SPL football is ideal for the development of their young players.

Roberts, 20, has hit five goals in 35 games for the Scottish champions, who are 35 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen.

Willock, meanwhile, has yet to be loaned out, despite being capped by England at every age group from Under-16s to under-19s.
