Celtic have trumped Rangers for Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras.
The Mirror says Celtic boss Gordon Strachan made an amazing swoop for Samaras last night. The Greek was due for talks with Rangers about a £2.75m switch but now Samaras is going on loan to Parkhead with the fee to be paid in the summer.
"I would be happy to go to Scotland. I would not have any problem with leaving the Premier League - playing football is the main thing for me," Samaras told the Daily Record.
"It would also be very interesting to play European football with Celtic."
