Celtic through to Scottish Cup semi-finals

Celtic last night reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup after a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Hoops fell behind just before half-time when Caley were awarded a penalty when Richie Foren was brought down by a Glenn Loovens challenge in the area only for referee Mike Tumilty to point to the spot.

Inverness' leading scorer Adam Rooney stepped up to the spot and beat Fraser Forster.

However, Neil Lennon's men hit back just moments later thanks to Joe Ledley who knocked in Emilio Izaguirre's cross to restore hope for the 34-time cup winners.

And 23 minutes into the second half they gave themselves every chance of winning another title when Ledley headed home a Ki Sung-yeung free-kick which ended up being the goal to send the Glasgow giants into the final four where they will meet Aberdeen at Hampden Park.
