Celtic boss Neil Lennon says the club is still holding contract talks with star striker Gary Hooper.
The 24-year old has been a target for Premier League newcomers Southampton in recent months but Lennon has made it vehemently clear that he wants his leading scorer to remain at Parkhead.
"He's a player I like and he's done really well here," the Hoops manager said.
"We'd like to tie him down for a bit longer. He's really enjoying it here and at just 24 he's still got plenty of progress in him.
"He knows he has a big season ahead of him in terms of Europe and the domestic scene and he wants a wee taste of that again.
"We met his representatives at the end of May, so I'd assume talks will continue in the next few weeks."
