Anthony Stokes has been charged with assault causing harm by a court in Ireland.
The Celtic and Republic of Ireland striker allegedly assaulted and injured an Elvis impersonator in Dublin and has been charged over the incident.
Stokes' apparent assault occurred on June 8 last year after Ireland played the Faroe Islands at the Aviva Stadium. He was arrested by Gardai (Irish police) and questioned in August before being released with a charge at the time.
Stokes, who was arrested on Thursday afternoon in Dublin, has been released on bail and ordered to re-appear in court on May 29.
