Celtic striker Hooper hoping for Olympic team selection

Gary Hooper admits he would love to represent England at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The 23-year old Celtic striker played under Team GB boss Stuart Pearce for the England U21 team and says he would love to get the chance to represent his nation at the Olympics.

"I'm from somewhere not far from the Olympic Stadium at all so it would be nice to play there," said Hooper.

"It would be a good stage and it would be great to play with all the family there. So, yes, that would be good.

"It's a massive event, massive. It would be nice to be part of that."
