Celtic are still leading the race to sign Maritimo star Baba Diawara according to recent reports.
The Portuguese club have rejected a bid from French outfit Monaco of around £3million leaving the Hoops free to put in an offer of closer to £4million if they want their man.
23-year old Senegalese striker Diawara, who has been tracked by Celtic for some time now, has scored nine goals for Maritimo so far this campaign to lead the Portuguese league's scoring list.
