Celtic star Nir Bitton has been linked with a £10million move to the Premier League this summer.

Bitton recently signed a contract extension that was set to keep the 24-year-old Israeli at Parkhead until 2020, however his agent Dudu Dahan is now investigating the possibility of a move to England's top flight, with Sunderland among the frontrunners.

"We have had interest for Nir from English Premier League sides. Celtic have been approached, but right now is not the right time," Dahan said in an interview with the Sport 5 radio station in Israel.

"Some players in the Premier League are not as good as him and have bought and sold for a lot of money.

"He will go to the Premier League, but in the summer, not in January."
