Celtic skipper Brown: Scotland players buying into Strachan philosophy

Scott Brown can see that the influence of Scotland manager Gordon Strachan is beginning to rub off on the playing group.

The Celtic captain knows Strachan well from their time together in Glasgow between 2007 and 2009 and is aware that he is trying to instil a togetherness in order to reignite Scottish football.

"I see it every day in training," he told the Daily Record ahead of Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in Skopje.

"The gaffer goes around each lad individually and tells them how he wants them to play, when he wants us to press, when he wants us to defend, and how he wants everyone to get on the ball. We are also giving him a bit of input on how we play at our own club.

"It's been high tempo, we have had double sessions and it has been enjoyable. The gaffer has done his part and now it's our turn to do our part."
