Rapid Vienna striker Hamdi Salihi has emerged as a winter transfer target for Celtic.
The 27-year old Albanian international comes out of contract this summer and Hoops boss Neil Lennon admits the Glasgow outfit are tossing up whether or not to pursue the former teammate of Rangers ace Nikica Jelavic.
"He is a player we have known about from the Jelavic days. He might be an option," Lennon told the Daily Record.
Whilst Rapid manager Peter Schoettel admits Salihi could be up for sale this January.
"Rapid are open to having transfer talks over Hamdi. If there is a matching offer he can go," he said.
It is believed that Rapid are willing to accept a transfer fee of around £500,000 from Celtic for the former SV Ried man.
