The Express reports that Celtic have made an approach to Belgian side Club Brugge for £3million-rated central defender Brandon Mechele.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form this season for the Belgian league leaders and has played every minute of their unbeaten Europa League campaign.

Celtic are set to lose their two main central defenders as Jason Denayer is almost certain to return to Manchester City after his loan stint and Virgil van Dijk is likely to make the move to the Premier League in the summer.
