Celtic's Wilson not thinking about England despite Hodgson observing

Celtic defender Kelvin Wilson says he is not putting much thought into playing for England anytime soon.

The 27-year old centre-back, who represented England at U20 level, has been monitored by Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson recently with the national team manager telling Hoops gaffer Neil Lennon personally that he is considering the player.

But former Nottingham Forest man Wilson says he simply wants to do well for Celtic before he even thinks about England.

"It's nice to be spoken about it in those terms but we'll see," he said.

"I've not really thought about England to be honest but obviously it would be nice. If it comes along, it would be a great achievement.

"I was involved with the Under-20s once or twice and played a game in Moscow but that was about it. It's early days but we've had a great Champions League run and we'll see where it goes."
