Celtic's Stokes not bothered if Rangers continue winning

Anthony Stokes says it is not Celtic's focus that title rivals Rangers are continuing to produce winning performances at will in the season run-in.

The Hoops find themselves sitting one point behind their Glasgow foes with four games remaining (Rangers have three) and Stokes insists that the points being picked up by 'Gers is not an indication that a third-straight championship will be heading to Ibrox.

The 22-year old striker knows that if Celtic simply keep winning, no matter what the margin, then the title will be theirs come seasons end.

"It's in our hands now and that's one game out of the way with four to go so we just have to concentrate on winning our games," he said.

"We've been in this situation before with games in hand - we know that the ball is in our court.

"We can only worry about ourselves and if Rangers drop points it's a bonus but we're just trying to win every game and that's the aim until the end of the season.

"We've got a few points leeway and I think we're ahead in goal difference as well so it's for us to lose, really. We are in a great position."

Celtic meet Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Inverness on Wednesday night before travelling to Kilmarnock on the weekend as Rangers host Heart of Midlothian on Saturday.
