Celtic's Anthony Stokes has made sure that any transfer rumours circulating have been put to bed and insists he wants to remain at Celtic Park.
The speculation emerged when Stokes' dad called SunSport saying his son should hand in a transfer request after being left out of the Scottish League Cup team which lost to Rangers on Sunday.
But Stokes said his dad was just speaking as a loving father and passionate Celtic supporter and said there is nothing to what he put forward after the Hoops' loss on the weekend.
"I'm not going to hang my dad out to dry. He's said what he's said but he's still my dad," Stokes said.
"I had a chat with him because he's been in the papers the last few weeks for certain things. He's a big Celtic fan and I'm sure he was just disappointed we lost.
"It would've been one of the biggest games of my career and he was gutted for me. That's all it is."
