Celtic insisted they were not holding talks with Spartak Moscow over a £10million bid for prize asset Aiden McGeady, reports the Daily Mail. Spartak technical director Evgeniy Smolencev was absent from the travelling party which flew to Austria for a training camp - prompting reports in Russia that he had flown to Glasgow instead with an offer to the Republic of Ireland winger of £40,000-a-week.
But Celtic have dismissed those claims, reiterating the stance they adopted after throwing out a Spartak enquiry two weeks ago.
