Scott Brown admits he is unsure if he will make himself available for Scotland in July.
The Celtic midfielder returned to international action recently after missing the first three matches of his country's 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign following retirement.
Brown was back for Gordon Strachan, leading Scotland to a 1-0 win over Slovenia on Sunday, but does not yet know if he will be free to take on England in Glasgow on June 10 as Celtic's Champions League qualification for 2017/18 begins the following month.
"We'll see how it goes," Brown told Sky Sports News HQ.
"It's going to be a hard situation because we are going to be back so early in June.
"Last year I had the six weeks off, so I need to look after my body as well and see how it is for Celtic.
"I need to maintain the level and fitness that I have been playing at all season. If I can maintain that as long as I possibly can, you never know."
