Celtic's Samaras not bothered about European scoring record

Celtic forward Georgios Samaras says he is not even worrying about his goalscoring record in European ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League clash with AC Milan.

The Greek international scored in five away games in Europe's premier club competition last season and added another goal on the road against Cliftonville in qualifying this season but he is not bothered who scored at the San Siro as long as the Bhoys perform well.

"I am not playing football for records or numbers," he said.

"I am playing football because I love it and I want my team to win. The rest is just numbers.

"If we win tomorrow and I score a goal then okay, but if someone else scores....the main point is try to get something from the game."
