Celtic's Ledley to target maintenance as he recovers from pelvic injury

Midfielder Joe Ledley is aiming to string a few games together after returning to the pitch for Celtic for the first time since December 8.

The Wales international played 66 minutes of the Hoops' 4-1 home win over Hearts on Saturday after being sidelined with a pelvic injury, similar to what captain Scott Brown has endured this season.

Ledley admitted it felt nice to be back out there for the Scottish champions and is now looking to maintain this level of fitness as the campaign progresses.

"It is my pelvis, similar to Brownie," said Ledley. "It depends how I feel. Sometimes when I wake up it is okay, the next day it can be hurting. So I just take it day by day.

"We had exactly the same injection and Brownie is flying now so hopefully it can continue with me.

"I have been out for while so it was nice to be back playing and being involved in the squad, and back on a winning side as well."
