Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre felt he was always going to successful return from the broken leg he sustained at the beginning of the season.
The Honduran left-back was sidelined from early August to just after the New Year but knew he would always return to the fray this season, however, the test is now to get back to that form that won him last season's Scottish Player of the Year.
"The doctors have always told me this is an injury footballers get and you can recuperate from it.
"I didn't feel under any pressure in the games I've played since my return. I go out and enjoy them. In the game against Falkirk I was still suffering a bit from the injury and it was niggly.
"It wasn't a shock to me because every player knows, when you're injured, it's a gradual process as you recuperate and you have to take it as it comes. I knew it was the way it was going to be.
"Everyone has helped me - my dad, my wife, my son, team-mates, friends and all the trainers.
"Everyone kept me in mind and everyone has been a great help.
"Getting back to the player who won the Players' Player of the Year award is the challenge now.
"I have to get back as soon as I can to the same level of physical fitness.
"That's the challenge I gave myself at the start of the year and that's what I'm aiming for now.
"Hopefully, next season I will be the one playing a big part in getting another title."
"I never doubted I'd come back to the same level as before," he said.
