Injured Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre has targeted a December comeback.
The Honduran left-back, who was the SPL's Player of the Year last season, broke his ankle against Aberdeen last month and it was initially feared he would be out until about February.
But he says things are ahead of schedule and he plans to be back in the Hoops first team by Christmas.
"The operation went really well and I hope I could be back for Christmas," he said.
As for the signing of his replacement, Badr El Kaddouri, Izaguirre says it acts as extra motivation for him to get back to full fitness.
"For me, it is a motivation to recover and get better soon and win my place back," Izaguirre added.
"I am sad at having to miss games because my son likes to see me play at Celtic Park."
