Celtic's Izaguirre backs of PFA award with SPL crown

Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre has been crowned the Scottish Premier League Player of the Season.

The 24-year old Honduran left-back was named the best player of the 2010/11 season in the Clydesdale Bank SPL following on from his Professional Footballers' Association award he received on Sunday.

Izaguirre is attracting plenty of attention from bigger clubs in Europe but the humble ex-Motagua star has made it clear he wants to remain at Celtic Park.

"I am living a dream being here at Celtic," Izaguirre said. "This is a great league. I can't exactly say if things have gone the way I planned, but I am living a dream.

"This is only my first year here, nothing is set in concrete in my mind. I just want to keep improving, more and more. I am aware [of transfer speculation] but my mind is on Celtic. I am very grateful for everything they have done for me and until the end of the season, I am only thinking about that."
