Celtic's Hooper: Whizkid Watt scores goals for fun

Tony Watt again showed the football community what he is capable of with a two-goal performance in Celtic's 4-2 win over Inverness on the weekend.

The 18-year old striker made it four goals in five Scottish Premier League appearances with his second brace, following on from the pair he netted at Motherwell last season.

Watt is emerging as a very talented attacker for the Hoops and his more experienced teammate Gary Hooper feels he can continue improving into a top quality player.

"Tony showed what he has got in this game and at Motherwell last season," he said.

"He's getting his fitness with playing and the defenders didn't know what to do with him.

"Tony's quick, strong and he can score - so he has a great future.

"I tried to help him. He's still learning, things like keeping your head up when you have the ball.

"He's not shy off the pitch, but he takes that onto the pitch and scores goals, that's what you need. In the lower leagues, where Tony and I have played, you can get kicked around quite a bit.

"So if you can deal with that, you can deal with the physical side and the football and goals will come. He does it in training, too. Tony scores goals for fun."
