Celtic winger James Forrest believes the clubs supporters will treat Aiden McGeady with respect when he returns on Wednesday night.
The 26-year old former Hoops ace and his Spartak Moscow teammates are looking to end the Glasgow giants' run in the Champions League but young gun Forrest is confident that McGeady will not be booed and jeered by the Parkhead faithful after leaving for Russia in 2010.
"I don't think Aiden will get booed. He left on good terms with the Celtic fans," he said.
"He's their best player, their biggest threat and I'm sure he'll be someone we'll need to close down on Wednesday.
"It's Aiden's first time back at Celtic Park and it's natural that he'll want to prove that he's still a class player, show he can still do it.
"He's got something to prove because I think he was disappointed that he didn't play as well as he would have liked in the first game.
"I used to watch him when he was at Celtic because he played the same position as me.
"I watched him every day and tried to learn from him."
