Celtic midfielder Kris Commons has received a two-match ban from the Scottish Football Association for his red card last weekend.
The 28-year old was shown a straight red for his reckless challenge on Heart of Midlothian's Adrian Mrowiec in the 65th minute of Celtic's 2-0 loss at Tynecastle and will now miss the next two Scottish Premier League fixtures against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
Commons' actions were criticised by manager Neil Lennon after the game and the Hoops boss will now have to deal with not having the former Derby County man as the Glasgow giants look to get their flailing season back on track.
