Celtic manager Neil Lennon feels that goalkeeper Dominic Cervi needs more time to develop.
The 25-year old USA youth international played for the Hoops in their 2-0 friendly loss to Swansea City on Wednesday night and did a fair job apart from his mistake to gift the Swans their first goal.
Just after the hour-mark, the Oklahoma native failed to hold onto a Scott Sinclair free-kick, with Angel Rangel picking up the scraps and firing home.
Lennon, who is still on the hunt for a number one keeper, admitted Cervi would be unhappy with his error but said his overall performance was solid as he continues to develop his game.
"He will be disappointed with the goal. He has pushed it back into the box and will be disappointed he didn't handle the free-kick better," he said.
"But the rest of his game was good. He is a goalkeeper who has not had a lot of time to develop and that's what he needs really."
