Celtic tabled a reported £2.2m bid for Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona but look to miss out to a lower offer from German team Hoffenheim. The 21-year-old recorded 15 goals in 28 matches last term in the South African league, which has prompted both club's to make a move for his services.
Hoffenheim general manager Ernst Tanner confirmed the club are working on two fronts to conclude in and outgoing deals.
"It is very likely Prince Tagoe will leave us before the end of the transfer window," he told Deutsche Presseagentur.
"We are still in talks with Knowledge Musona and are attempting to find a solution.
"He is technically very good, quick, two-footed and integrated with the squad very well when he was on trial here.
"We know that Knowledge can sign more lucrative deals elsewhere, but Kaizer Chiefs are keen to conclude a deal with us in the hope we can cooperate on further deals in the future."
