Celtic pondering loan swoop for Tottenham's Keane

Tottenham striker Robbie Keane has again emerged as a target for Celtic according to recent reports. The 30-year old Republic of Ireland captain's future at the North London club is unknown, especially after he was loaned out to West Ham United for the second half of the Premier League season.

Keane spent four months with Celtic in the 2009/10 season, scoring 16 goals in 19 matches and winning the Player of the Season award, but he cost the club around £2million in wages and the loan fee.

However, Hoops majority shareholder Dermot Desmond is believed to be interested in bringing the former Inter Milan, Leeds United and Liverpool man back to Celtic Park on a similar agreement as the Glasgow giants try to snap a three-season barren run in terms of the Scottish Premier League title.
