Celtic manager Neil Lennon has poured cold water on his side’s pursuit of Hull City winger Cameron Stewart.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has poured cold water on his side’s pursuit of Hull City winger Cameron Stewart.

The Hoops have been credited with an interest in the 22-year old and although Lennon admits he is a potential target, has made it clear that the Scottish champions have not lodged a bid for his services.

"There's nothing in that. There is an interest there but there has been no bid made," said Lennon after the weekend’s 2-2 draw with Inverness.

"We spoke to his representatives a long time ago but he's had knee surgery recently. I believe he's fit again but we're looking at other options as well."
