Celtic open to possible return of Norwich's Hooper

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has not ruled out the possibility of attempting to lure Gary Hooper back to the club.

The 26-year old striker left Glasgow to join Norwich City for around £5million last summer but has failed to reach the lofty heights he set himself while knocking in goals for fun with the Hoops.

There are rumours circulating that Celtic could make a move for Hooper at the end of the current campaign and although Lennon was open to the idea, he was not getting carried away, especially seeing as the former Scunthorpe United ace is contracted the summer of 2016.

"I would imagine the Hooper thing would rumble on, but whether we could tempt him back or not, I don't know," said Lennon.

"I don't like talking about a player who's under contract at another club, but we think very highly of Gary, put it that way.

"Whether we could do a deal or the club would entertain, I don't know, It would be nice to have him back."
