Celtic's new star Charlie Mulgrew will be offered an improved deal by the club according to manager Neil Lennon.

The versatile 26-year old was this season crowned the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Professional Footballers' Association and Scottish Footballer Writers' Association Player of the Year with Lennon indicating he will get a better offer as a reward.

"We gave Charlie a wage increase last season and he has a year to go on his current contract," he said.

"I will have to talk to the board about a new and improved deal for Charlie as he deserves it."
