Celtic not chasing Arsenal ‘Invincibles’ tag’ - Rodgers

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has made it clear that he has not targeted an unbeaten domestic season with the Glasgow giants.

The Bhoys are unbeaten in 12 Scottish Premiership matches thus far but Rodgers has made it clear that there is no talk of emulating the legendary Arsenal 'Invincibles' side of 2003/04.

Rodgers also indicated that the job remains the same each and every week for a club such as Celtic.

"You can never get too complacent," said Rodgers, in the wake of his side's Scottish League Cup triumph on the weekend.

"Sunday was a big game for us - but every game is a big game for us. People have said to me about how well we played at Hampden and how composed we were.

"But it wasn't new for us. The one thing we know here is that every game is massive for us. For Celtic it is always about winning — and then on to the next one."

Asked of the potential to emulate Arsenal: "It's not in my thinking, to be honest."
