Jimmy Bullard is demanding a payoff from Hull City before making the move to Celtic.
The Mirror says Bullard wants a £2million pay-off from Hull City - and a free transfer - to take his massive wages off their payroll.
Midfielder Bullard is willing to quit the relegated Tigers where he earns around £45,000-a-week, but the only way he will move is if there is no fee to pay for him.
Bullard hopes to seal a switch to Celtic or Newcastle United on that basis, picking up a deal with either of them that comes within their budgets.
The experienced star would give up a fortune to cancel his contract with that severance deal, while Hull would also have to waive any chance of selling the player who was bought for around £5 million at the height of their big spending.
