Celtic monitoring Aston Villa striker Kozak

Celtic assistant manager John Collins has confirmed that the club are considering a move for Aston Villa outcast Libor Kozak.

Kozak was watched by Celtic manager Ronny Deila during the Villa Under-21 side's 2-1 victory over Derby County this week and the striker managed to make an impression by scoring both goals on the night.

Now Celtic no.2 Collins has gone on to speak regarding Deila's presence in the Midlands and has confirmed that the Norwegian boss is considering a move for Kozak.

Collins said: "Ronny went down and had a look at the game and of course he [Kozak] scored a couple of goals but there's nothing imminent.

"We're looking to strengthen all over to be honest."

Kozak has made just one appearance for Villa this season, in the Capital One Cup in August, and has not been given a look-in under new boss Remi Garde suggesting a January exit could be on the cards.
