Celtic failed with a loan offer for Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor yesterday.
The Sun says Toon turned down a cheeky loan bid by Celtic for £6million-rated Taylor.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon wanted the transfer-listed defender, 24, who has turned down improved Toon terms of £45,000-a-week.
Newcastle KO'd the offer for Taylor, currently out with a dislocated shoulder.
