Celtic interim boss Neil Lennon claims his fringe players gave him "food for thought" in a positive way in the 2-1 friendly defeat against AZ Alkmaar at Parkhead. Paul McGowan, Paul Caddis, Ki Sung Yueng, Zheng Zhi and Edson Braafheid were just some of the Celtic players making rare appearances in front of 3,000 spectators.
"It was a really worthwhile exercise," he said. "A lot of the players have given me food for thought. I'm concentrating on the league games but this game was a wee bonus for me in terms of some of the performances."
