Celtic are launching a £4 million bid for West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble.

The Mirror says Hoops boss Gordon Strachan made a surprise spying mission to watch England Under-21 star Noble on Wednesday as the Hammers slumped out of the FA Cup at Manchester City in a replay.

Hammers are in no rush to sell but Celtic can dangle the carrot of Champions League football this season in front of 20-year-old Noble.
