Celtic keen to keep Commons away from Leicester

Celtic are hoping to activate a clause in the contract of Kris Commons in order to keep him at the club.

The 30-year old attacking midfielder has scored 14 goals in 17 Scottish Premier League appearances this season which has prompted a desire from the Hoops to tie him down until 2015 by triggering the clause this summer.

According to SportsMail, Celtic boss Neil Lennon is determined to hang onto the former Derby County man who is a target for Championship high-fliers Leicester City.

The Foxes are interested in bringing Commons to the King Power Stadium if they happen to gain promotion back to the Premier League for next season.
