Celtic head to Raith after overcoming Arbroath

Scottish giants Celtic have beaten Second Division Arbroath 1-0 to move through to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

Arbroath held the Hoops to a 1-1 draw at Parkhead just under a fortnight ago but could not repeat that inspired performance at Gayfield Park tonight.

Adam Matthews scored the only goal of the fourth round replay in the 18th minute to send the Scottish champions to the next phase where they will meet First Division outfit Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

Last night, Billy McKay netted a double as Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Ross County 2-1 to set up another all-Premier League meeting with Kilmarnock whilst Aberdeen overcame Motherwell 2-1, enabling them to head to Hibernian.
