The Celtic Football Club have wished Billy Connolly all the best as he undergoes treatment for prostate cancer and Parkinson's disease.
The 70-year old Glasgow-born comedian and movie star is a massive Hoops fan and the Parkhead club have sent their best to him as his recovery and treatment begins.
"Everyone at Celtic would like to pass on our thoughts and best wishes to Billy Connolly," read a statement on the club's official website.
"It follows the news that he has had surgery for prostate cancer, and has been assessed as having the initial symptoms of Parkinson's Disease.
"Always a popular figure at Celtic Park, Billy is a comedy legend as well as being a star of television and films.
His spokeswoman said; "The operation was a total success, and Billy is fully recovered."
Connolly is the star of such films as Water, Mrs Brown, The Boondock Saints and The Man Who Sued God and is one of the most famous stand-up comedians to come out of Scotland.
