Celtic FC donate £10,000 to Victorian bushfire victims

The loss of over 200 lives in the Australian bushfires has touched the international football family. Today, Celtic FC has donated £10,000 ($22,000 AUD) to the Australian Red Cross.

Celtic FC CEO Peter Lawwell said, "This is a terrible tragedy and we are all very sorry for the victims and their families.

"Celtic Football Club is very pleased to donate £10,000 which has been presented by Scott McDonald today to the Red Cross."

The fires occurred in McDonald's home state of Victoria and touched him and his Celtic teammates so much that the club saw it fitting to give so generously to the cause.
