Celtic fan Rod Stewart names his "dream frontmen"

The world famous singer is an avid fan of the Bhoys and was asked by Argentinian sports daily Olé who he would sign if he had the choice and he chose the two Argentine internationals.

"I want Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez to sign for Celtic. Either of them would be fantastic signings for our team," he said.

"We have suffered against Messi in the Champions League and Tevez has continued to perform at Manchester United."

Stewart then explained how his whole family are avid football players and fans, something which inspired him to build a full size pitch in the grounds of his home in southern England.

"I love coming back from tours and kicking a ball around for a while," he continued.

"My two brothers, my dad and grandfather all played at amateur level. Then they founded a club in our neighbourhood. The whole family is football mad."
