Celtic are set to enter the Serie A transfer market.

Reports in Italy say Celtic have watched Sampdoria midfielder Gennaro Delvecchio, 29, and AC Milan's left-winger Massimo Donati after, 26. It is understood the Glasgow club have already tabled bids for the Serie A duo.

Delvecchio has been capped once, against Croatia last year, and is under contract with his Genoa-based club until 2009. Donati won 26 caps for Italy's Under-21 side between 2000 and 2003, but never graduated to the senior team. Milan paid Atalanta £10 million for him in 2001.
