Celtic desperate to sign Forster from Newcastle permanently

Celtic are determined to secure the permanent services of goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The 24-year old is on his second season-long loan from Newcastle United and has helped guide the Hoops to this season's Scottish title prompting Neil Lennon to increase his efforts to make a permanent transfer for around £2million.

Forster, who is being watched by West Ham United and a couple of other English clubs, still has two years left on his Newcastle contract but is unlikely to get first team game time with 24-year old Tim Krul emerging as one of the best glovemen in the Premier League this season.
