An own goal from Barry Robson saw Celtic dumped out of the Champions League with a 2-1 defeat to Aalborg. The Bhoys even took the lead through Barry Robson but the defeat means there is not even the consolation Uefa Cup football.
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan refused to make excuses, "We like to think that we are a big club and that we can handle defeat.
"We will not say that Aalborg were lucky. We had it in our own hands to win and we are not going to look anywhere else.
"We were only one goal up but I thought it would be enough. I didn't see any real threat to us, so it's disappointing."
Strachan defended his side's poor away record in Europe, adding: "A lot of teams would like to have our record but they can't get in the Champions League.
"We will have to deal with it."
