Celtic will continue in their pursuit of Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci after their initial bid of £900,000 was rejected, reports The Express.
United are expected to hold out for their valuation of £1.5million for the player who is in his last year of the contract.
Celtic assistant John Collins confirmed his side are interested in the 23-year old Turkish attacker.
Collins said: "I believe there's an approach. He's a big striker, he's strong, powerful and has technique as well. We like him."
Championship club Middlesbrough are also reportedly interested in the player.
