Celtic are eyeing a January move for Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given.
The Scottish Sun says Given is desperate to leave Manchester City after losing his starting slot to new England No 1 Joe Hart.
City boss Roberto Mancini has threatened to price the keeper out of a move.
However, the 34-year-old Republic of Ireland keeper hasn't given up hope of sealing a loan move away from Eastlands in the New Year.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon, who could see Fraser Forster recalled by Newcastle in January after first-choice Steve Harper was injured, is ready to move for Given, who was on Celtic's books as a kid.
Lennon believes the Hoops would be able to attract 106-times capped Given back to Glasgow, if they are challenging for honours.
He added: "If we are doing well in the league we'll be in a position of strength. If we are doing well in the league, I'd say we'll be in the market for signings."
