Scott Brown's recurring hip problem kept him out of Celtic's 1-0 win over Motherwell on Wednesday night but a few weeks' rest will help him recover according to first-team coach Garry Parker.
The Hoops captain has been troubled by the degenerative hip injury this season and although he had appeared to have made a decent recovery, he has again succumbed to its ongoing nature.
However, Parker is confident that some more time off will be perfect for Brown as Celtic looks ahead to the Champions League Round of 16 clash with Juventus next month.
"Scott was feeling his injury again and that was why he didn't play," he said.
"It will be nice for him to get a rest. He has two free weeks and he should be okay."
