Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed that the club are close to signing Stefan Johansen from Stromsgodset.
The Hoops are in hot pursuit of the 23-year old Norwegian midfielder and Lennon suggests a deal could be struck sometime this week.
"We've been in talks with his club and his representatives and hopefully we can get something sorted out in the next few days," said Lennon.
"I can't really put a time on that as I haven't spoken to Peter Lawwell since Friday, but we are well down the line on that one."
In addition, Stromsgodset boss Ronny Delia said Celtic would be getting a very talented player who will cost around £2million.
"There has been much speculation about Stefan, but it seems that now he will get his move and it is much deserved," he said.
"He has been given permission to talk to Celtic and I am proud that I have been allowed to work and develop a player such as Stefan."
