Monaco midfielder Jerko Leko is a target for Celtic boss Gordon Strachan, says the Scottish Sun.

Strachan is understood to be looking for a replacement for the departing Massimo Donati, whose move to Sampdoria could be sealed later this week.

And the energetic Leko is the man Strachan has identified to provide competition to Paul Hartley, Barry Robson and Scott Brown in the centre of the Celtic midfield.

While a fee of £2.5million would be enough to secure the services of Leko, any deal would have to wait until after Croatia's Euro 2008 campaign.
