Scottish champions have signed Aleksandar Tonev on loan from Aston Villa.
The 24-year old Bulgarian winger has signed a season-long loan with the Hoops after initially joining Villa from Lech Poznan last summer.
Tonev, who was a transfer target for Celtic prior to signing with Villa, is looking to emulate fellow countryman Stiliyan Petrov who starred at Parkhead between 1999 and 2006.
"Joining Celtic is unbelievable, and I feel really good about it," Tonev told the club's official website.
"I'm delighted to have joined the club and I can't wait to meet up with my new team-mates and start playing for Celtic.
"I already knew all about Celtic. Everybody in Bulgaria knows Celtic.
"I spoke to Stiliyan Petrov yesterday and he was very happy for me. He wished me good luck and I hope I can do as well for Celtic as Stiliyan did."
The Bulgaria international, who kicked off his career with CSKA Sofia, made 20 appearances for Villa in his debut season in the UK.
